We've entered fall and sparked numerous conversations about dementia and the stigma that surrounds the disease over the course of World Alzheimer's Month. With festive celebrations in sight, including Thanksgiving and Halloween, we also celebrate National Seniors Day on October 1, an occasion to thank seniors across Canada for the roles that they play and the contributions they make in their communities. In addition, the Society is preparing for the B.C. election and will be asking each party for its formal position on concerns raised by people living with dementia and their families. The letter and party responses will be available on our website throughout October.
