The Alzheimer Society of B.C. (established in 1981) is dedicated to helping anyone concerned with or facing dementia have the confidence and skills to maintain quality of life, to ensuring that public policy and perceptions reflect the issues and reality, to securing funding for support and research and to raising awareness about the disease.
The Alzheimer Society of B.C. is the leading source of education and support in B.C. for people impacted by dementia, through Resource Centres located around the province and the province-wide toll-free First LinkŪ Dementia Helpline, 1-800-936-6033 or 604-681-8651 (Lower Mainland).
Your donation to the Alzheimer Society of B.C. ensures crucial programs and services are available in communities throughout British Columbia. Your donation also supports research into the causes and cures, and influences public policy to reflect the issues and realities of people living with dementia.
For more than 30 years, the Alzheimer Society of B.C. has provided a variety of programs and services for people with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias, family members and caregivers.
Services include early stage and caregiver support groups, dementia education programs, teleworkshops, lending libraries and newsletters, and the toll-free First LinkŪ Dementia Helpline.
