Anything for Alzheimer's Celebration

Turn Festivities Into Fundraisers

Have you started unpacking your winter sweaters yet?
Perhaps you’ve come across that hand-knitted Rudolph vest with the sparkly red pom-pom nose? That’s great news because you already have a valuable holiday fundraising tool! Why not host a tacky sweater holiday party at the office or at home?

Now is a great time to start thinking about how you can incorporate fundraising into your annual holiday parties.Whether you are getting together with co-workers, neighbours, clubs, family members or friends, you can turn festivities into fundraisers! You could swap out gifts for donations in your annual gift exchange, host a holiday themed craft or bake sale or put on a holiday performance. You can do Anything for Alzheimer’s!

Tina and Herb Sherwood have been doing their thing to raise funds for those who face Alzheimer’s disease. They spend between 80-100 hours preparing a festive Christmas light display at their home and on December 1, they gather with their neighbours for the official lighting of the lights. Visitors come from all over and make donations to experience this magic of the season.

Do you have a great idea for a holiday fundraiser? Contact us now and we’ll help get you started with our fundraising toolkit. We can even promote your event on this website. We can’t wait to hear from you! Email or call Theresa Frazao, Development Officer at tfrazao@alzheimerbc.org, 604-742-4947. Ask me for my secret recipe for Eggnog Cinnamon Buns and your party will be a guaranteed hit!

Not ready to host a holiday fundraiser this year? Please make a donation today using the link at the top of the page to support the fundraising goal for this campaign! All funds raised through this special holiday campaign will directly assist those impacted by Alzheimer’s disease or another dementia.
