Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. I’m raising money in support of the Alzheimer Society of B.C.
On Thursday, August 23rd at 7pm at Point Grey Secondary School in Vancouver I invite you to join me for the 250th Week Run for Alzheimer’s, where friends and family are encouraged to come walk or run 5 kilometers at the track and donate a minimum of $2 to the Alzheimer Society of British Columbia. Your generous donations will help fund research to find a cure for this terrible disease that affects the lives of millions.
Almost 6 years ago in September 2012 I challenged myself for fun to run 5km once a week, for 52 weeks straight. When I accomplished that goal, I set out to do it again for a second year and decided to begin fundraising to help support research to find a cure for Alzheimer’s, a disease that has affected some members of my family including my grandfather who just recently passed away. We've raised over $5k in the past few years and will continue to raise funds for this cause; hope you can be a part of it!
I haven’t missed a weekly 5k since then, and have decided to keep up the streak for as long as possible. I’ve organized with the Alzheimer Society that all funds raised from the event go directly towards the Research section of the Society’s budget, so each dollar will go directly towards efforts to conquer Alzheimer’s. I hope to see you there, and you can donate online as well at the link below!
Regards,
Matt Ehrenreich
