By supporting the work of the Alzheimer Society of B.C., you are ensuring there is a province-wide organization dedicated to providing services and programs to help families faced with dementia have the confidence and skills to maintain quality of life, to support the search for the cure.
About Matthew:
Matthew Carter Ward is a former instructor at the locally beloved Moksha Yoga Burnaby. He has been guiding yoga classes since 2014 and has completed Modo Hot Yoga training, Vinyasa training (Modo Flow), Fitness training (Modo Fit), and Yoga Nidra training (Semperviva Yoga College). Over the last 6 years Matthew has dedicated much of his time to the study of yoga and anatomy and has guided over 3000 yoga and fitness classes!
Matthew is passionate about bio-mechanics and an intentional movement practice. This makes each of his classes unique as he bring you yoga practices that are themed on waking up certain muscle groups, particular yogic principles, or a daily intention for you to bring into your life. Matthew is passionate about offering accessible yoga sequences (no headstands here!) that help everyday people begin to understand the connection between the yoga postures and their bodies.
Matthew has generously donated his time and art for our fundraiser event. Please check out his work at https://matthewcarteryoga.com
