Alzheimer's has affected close family members of mine. I made a promise at the funeral of a family member to raise money and awareness for Alzheimer's on their behalf. Very likely, a family member of yours or someone you know is affected, too. As we get older, we’ll all have to deal with this more and more. I've launched Summer Hockey for Alzheimer's as a way for us to help transform the lives of individuals and families living with Alzheimer’s disease or other dementias. There's no better way than through hockey, just like some of us have already experienced at Scotiabank Hockey for Alzheimer's.

For those invited to Summer Hockey for Alzheimer’s 2017, I am requesting a $50-$100 donation. Summer Hockey for Alzheimer’s will be a longterm program that will continue to run in the summers ahead.

By supporting the work of the Alzheimer Society of B.C., you are ensuring there is a province-wide organization dedicated to providing services and programs to help families faced with dementia have the confidence and skills to maintain quality of life, to supporting the search for the cure.
