I am very excited to share some of the biking events in this summer.

The Vancouver Cycle Touring Association (VCTA) would like to organize a challenging and exciting bike ride to celebrate the birthday of Canada, 152 years old, as well as raising fund for the Alzheimer Society of BC. Here is the game plan.

Date: July 1, 2019 (Monday)
Starting time: 8:00am sharp (please arrive by 7:30am)
Starting point: Trout Lake Park, Vancouver.

Bike Route:
• Team A (50km): Vancouver >> Iona Beach, Richmond >> 22nd Sky Train Station
• Team B (100km): Vancouver >> Iona Beach, Richmond >> Delta >> 22nd Sky Train Station
• Team C (152 km): Vancouver >> Iona Beach, Richmond >> Delta Big Loop >> 22nd Sky Train Station

Participation Fee: $100
Which includes, $35 celebration dinner, $15 for the expenses of the event, such as water, seasonal fruits, snacks/sandwiches, insurance etc, and $50 donation to the Alzheimer Society of BC.

Remark:
1) You will get an official tax receipt if your donation is $15 or more.
2) An anonymous friend would like to match your donation ($50) 1:1 for the first 50 participants.
3) Two support vehicles will be arranged for this event. If you do not feel well, you can jump into the support vehicles.
4) A water station will be set up at around 20 to 25 km, where water, seasonal fruits, snack/sandwiches will be provided.
5) We will be providing training rides on all different levels in the upcoming weekends.
6) All levels of riders are welcome to join this event. You can ride as short as 100m, up to the full course of 152 km.
