Anything for Alzheimer's Sporting Event

The Last Leg of My Ride Across Canada

Welcome to my fundraising page.

My mom, Donna Lusted, had Alzheimer's disease and died in 2019. I am organizing this fundraiser in memory of mom and to help raise funds for Alzheimer's disease research.

I have been bike riding across Canada on my vacation since the summer of 2015. The last year I rode was 2019 and the completion has been delayed due to Covid-19 the past two years.

In 2019, I rode from Thunderbay to Quebec City with my friend Colin Wasiisser – a distance of 2,300 kilometres!  This year, to complete the ride of 1,500 kilometres from Quebec City, I will ride with my son Matt and wife Chris on the sag wagon.  We will ride from Quebec City to St John's Newfoundland.

We leave from Quebec City on May 26th, 2022 and arrive in St. John's Newfoundland around June 16th, 2022.

Please help us fundraise for the Alzheimer Society of B.C. by donating through this page. All donations of $15 or more will automatically receive a tax receipt.

By making a donation, you are helping to transform the lives of individuals and families living with Alzheimer's disease or other dementias. By supporting the work of the Alzheimer Society of B.C., you are ensuring there is a province-wide organization dedicated to providing services and programs to help families facing dementia to have the confidence and skills to maintain quality of life, and to support the search for the cure.

Please donate today and help us reach our fundraising goal!

Thank you so much for your support!

John, Matt and Chris.

P.S. I would also like to thank Mark Lesack, Dean Agnew, and George and Linda Park for helping me complete other sections of my ride across Canada.
