The Georgina Falt Memorial Mind Games Music Trivia fundraiser for the Alzheimer Society of B.C. is returning in person once again in 2023.
This year will mark the 11th annual fundraiser, which will put us at a milestone of over $100,000 raised for Alzheimer's and other dementias! Thank you all for your past support of this event and the Alzheimer Society of B.C.
The tournament takes place on Saturday, September 30, starting at 3 p.m. at the Duncan Curling Club.
To participate, a suggested minimum donation of $25 is encouraged, with all proceeds going to the Alzheimer Society of B.C.
Players are grouped in teams of eight. You can enter your own complete team of eight or we can combine you with others if you have less to make up a full team of eight.
This is an all-ages event and it's actually a good idea to have a mix of ages because the music we're playing ranges from the 1960s to the present.
There are 10 rounds to the game plus a special novelty round. You will hear 30-second clips of songs and then your team will have to identify the song title and artist and then write it down on a sheet of paper that is collected after each round of 12 songs.
The winning team will be the recipient of the coveted Georgina Falt Memorial Mind Games Music Trivia trophy
It's a guaranteed good time, with people testing their song knowledge in a friendly but also highly-competitive field of teams. The tournament runs for about four hours and there are also special prize draws, silent auctions, and a 50-50.
