Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. We are raising money in support of the Alzheimer Society of B.C., in honour of our friend Earl Thompson who passed away August 2018 due to complications of a neurological disease. This year's fundraiser will be on August 19th, 2023 by way of a motorcycle poker run, 50/50 draw, T-shirt sales, and your generous donations.
Event Details: We start the poker run at Tumbleweeds Pub in Dallas. Registration is at 11 am but feel free to come earlier for a meet and greet and check out the bikes. The ride ends back at Tumbleweeds Pub where prizes will be awarded at 5 pm.
Poker Run: Poker cards are 1 for $20, 2 for $30 or 3 for $40. Cash and plaque prizes will be awarded for best and worst hands. PLUS there will be lots of door prizes. The poker run will consist of 5 stops:
50/50 Tickets: Will be sold during the poker run and only available to participants of the poker run.
T-Shirt Sales: Short sleeve T-shirts are $35 - Long sleeve are $40 (watch for details). They will include:
Donations: All online donations made on this page will go directly to the Alzheimer Society of B.C. and will received a tax receipt automatically. Monetary donations are also accepted in person at the event (tax receipts will be issued for donations of $15 or more).
So, whether you want to ride in honor of our friend Earl, or in honor of a loved one or in support of a loved one, or to help others living with Alzheimer’s and other dementia related diseases, or just to get out for a ride and maybe win a prize ….. come out for a day of riding and enjoy the camaraderie of motorcycling.
