Let's Kick Alzheimer's Butt!
My mom was a beautiful, intelligent, funny, vibrant person. For 10 years, we watched her deteriorate with Alzheimer's Disease until she died in 2010. Eighteen months after mom died, dad passed away from a broken heart. It is a horrible and heartbreaking experience, and unfortunately many people are on that journey with their family right now.
Let's Kick Alzheimer's Butt! We need funds for research and every few dollars count, so please donate here today!
On September 30, 2018, I will hike the Grouse Grind in support of the Alzheimer Society of B.C. in the annual Climb for Alzheimer's event.
Friends in the Lower Mainlaind, please come and join me for the climb!! We can help end the stigma of Alzheimer’s disease as it isn't just about our parents' generation – it's about ours!
As a Registered Dental Hygienist, I also want to remind you to visit your hygienist regularly. Current research shows links between gum diseases and dementia and Alzheimer's, so please take care of your oral health and your brain health!
