Climb for Alzheimers
Hi to all of you....
On September 30, 2018, I will hike the Grouse Grind in support of the Alzheimer Society of B.C. This is something that I can do to help raise funds for a very good cause. With your generosity, I can help make a difference to estimated 70,000 British Columbians who are currently affected by Alzheimer disease and related dementias.
As many of you are aware my mom and Dan's mom both have dementia and we have seen first hand the changes that it has made to them and their lives. I have been able to join a class called Minds in Motion that has helped us connect with others in the same place. Mom has so much fun there and it is only one of the many programs funded by the Alzheimer’s Society. I am very grateful for all the work that they do to help us and many others that are struggling with this disease.
Help me to make more people aware and in ending the stigma of Alzheimer’s disease as it isn't just about our parents' generation – it's about ours.
Big hugs and and thank you,
