Welcome to Team Marlene
On September 24, 2017, I will hike the Grouse Grind in support of the Alzheimer Society of B.C. Climb for Alzheimer’s is a team oriented fitness fundraising experience. With your generosity, we can make a difference to estimated 70,000 British Columbians who are currently affected by Alzheimer disease and related dementias.
For those of you who know me.... I've been supporting my Mom, Marlene Puls who was diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease in 2010. This past January, Mom moved from her home in Maple Ridge to a residential care home in Port Coquitlam where she is now receives great care 24 hours / 7 days a week. Her journey with Alzheimer's continues to progress but thankfully she still remembers her immediate family. My dad Lew passed away with Parkinson's disease in 2002 which is also a form of dementia. So having both parents battle dementia, I worry about what the future holds for my and future generations.
I welcome you to join Team Marlene and/or make a donation to help me reach my modest goal of $500.00.
