Tom's Climb for Alzheimers
Alzheimer, a very tragic disease not only for those who have it but their families as well. My Grandfather has it and it has been very difficult to witness as his memory fades. The last time I was able to see him, he kept confusing me for my brother and it was absolutely heartbreaking. He will have good days but they are growing further apart.
It truly breaks my heart that he will never truly know his great grand children and they will never know who I knew growing up.
So to help raise awareness on September 30, 2018, I will hike the Grouse Grind in support of the Alzheimer Society of B.C. With your generosity, we can make a difference to the estimated 70,000 British Columbians who are currently affected by Alzheimer disease and related dementias, like my grandfather.
Join me in ending the stigma of Alzheimer’s disease as it isn't just about our parents' generation – it's about ours.
