I am asking...
Every year I do something in support of the Alzheimer Society of B.C.
I do this simply because I watched, helplessly, while this disease destroyed someone I love, Michael O’Brien, before it killed him.
My efforts are in memory of my Mikey and everyone else who is living with Alzheimer’s, supporting someone with Alzheimer’s and for those who have yet to be diagnosed.
This year I am not only donating money but on September 29th, I will hike the Grouse Grind in the Climb for Alzheimer’s.
There are multiple ways you can help support my efforts:
- You can donate a few dollars (donating is 2,830 stairs-free)
- You can also register for the climb and join our team, The Alzheimer’s Grinders!
- You can buy a ticket to the upcoming Fun-in-the-Sun-Raiser (Details TBA).
- You can also donate your crafts and/or talents to the above fundraiser!
We greatly appreciate your contributions and support in our efforts to keep the momentum of Alzheimer's research, support and education for going.
One in three Canadians already knows someone with Alzheimer’s disease or other dementias, you may even know someone yourself.
Thank you.
I really appreciate your support for a cause that is close to my heart.
Love,
Danielle
