Team Blue Bird
Dear Friends, Families, and Organizations both Large and Small,
It is with distinct and great pleasure to announce that Loving Home Care Services is a proud supporter of the Alzheimer Society of B.C., and a Silver Sponsor for the Climb for Alzheimer’s event to be held at Grouse Mountain on Sunday, September 30, 2018.
We have collaborated with the Alzheimer Society of B.C. to break down stigma and help support the estimated 70,000 British Columbians affected by Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias. The Climb is an opportunity to take action and work towards our shared vision of a truly dementia-friendly province while enjoying a morning on the Grouse Grind® or a leisurely walk at the summit.
Our team, Team Blue Bird, is participating in the Climb to further the Society’s mission. By donating to our team, you are helping provide support, education and advocacy for families on the dementia journey, and enabling research that will advance knowledge of the disease.
Our mission is to further shed light on the awareness of Alzheimer’s disease through community engagement bringing people together to register for the climb, and/or to donate. We invite friends, families, politicians, professional sports clubs, community centers, shopping malls, organizations both large and small. You name it, and we’ll be reaching out!
Our goal is to raise $25,000! We believe with your generosity we can achieve our goal and create a positive impact while we climb to the top, together!

You can also make the Climb with us! The Summit Stroll is a great option for people who want to participate in the Climb for Alzheimer’s without having to do the Grouse Grind®. Participants of the Summit Stroll will make their way around the exhibits at the peak of Grouse Mountain. Visit with Coola and Grinder at the bear habitat, take in a short film in the Theatre in the Sky, or simply take a leisurely stroll around the different walking paths and exhibits.
The fee to participate is $35 and includes an Alzheimer Society of B.C. t-shirt, a lanyard and a return gondola ride down to the bottom of Grouse Mountain.
